Liz O'Brien

Liz is passionate about wellbeing. She believes that when we’re mentally, emotionally and physically well, then it’s easier to be our best selves, whether that’s at work, at home or stuck in traffic. “Our best self is better able to respond instead of react, which is good for our own wellbeing, as well as having a positive flow-on effect to those around us.”

Liz is a trained healthcare professional with clinical experience in stress and lifestyle management, with over 20 years experience as a healthcare practitioner, primarily in the areas of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Mindfulness, Stress Management and meditation.

She works with individuals and groups of all ages, in one on one clinical situations, university tutorials, and workplace seminars, conferences and workshops.

A tutor in mindfulness and welllbeing at Monash University School of Medicine, Liz has been working with Dr Craig Hassed and his team of tutors in this core curriculum subject for medical students since 2007.

Liz’s commitment to wellbeing is based on the understanding of the integral link between mind and body which recognises that physical and mental/emotional health go hand in hand.
